Dr. Bob Kedar
Medical Doctor
Dr. Bob Kedar is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and has over 20 years experience in Primary Care and Urgent Care. He graduated from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio. He completed his residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and has worked extensively in emergency departments around the world. Dr. Kedar is an accomplished tennis player and enjoys physical fitness and spending time with his family.

Mellissa Willette
FNP
Mellissa became a registered nurse in 1999 in Greenville, SC, Working for Prism health for 17 years in all areas of women’s care. In 2020 returned to school at Carson Newman University to obtain her Nurse Practitioner degree, since graduation and licensure in SC she has found a job she loves with the CUFC family. While at CUFC she always strives to connect with patients and provide great care.
In her spare time Mellissa runs a business for new moms. Has a pet pig Benny and too many cats.

Darlene Beasley
Office Manager
Darlene has been with Carolina Urgent and Family Care for 17 years. Her title is Office Manager, but wears many hats around the office. She will be able to assist you in any area. In her spare time she teaches kids yoga and volunteers in the community. She enjoys physical fitness, traveling and spending time with her family.

Dana Springs
Clinical Manager
Dana has been with Carolina Urgent and Family Care since 2020 and we are lucky to have her. She has experience working at the front desk and as an MOA. She is truly a team player. She lives in Lancaster and enjoys spending time with her family.

Skylar Huffman
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
Skylar grew up in Lancaster and has a love for patient care. She is an outgoing Certified Medical Assistant and is a joy to have around the office. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading in her free time.

Peighton is new to the Carolina Urgent and Family Care team. She is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with a passion for patient care and a dedication to supporting healthcare professionals. Jaime Steele
CCM Coordinator
Jaime has been with Carolina Urgent and Family Care since 2015 and has been a great part of our team. Jaime really enjoys speaking with all of the patients that are enrolled in our Chronic Care Management program. Jaime lives here in Lancaster and enjoys spending time with her son and watching him play soccer.

Crystal Clark
FNP-C
Crystal is a Lancaster, SC native since 1987. She graduated from Buford High School in 2003 and went on to USC-Lancaster and earned her associate’s degree in nursing (ADN). She was awarded “Best in Nursing,” an award that is chosen by the program’s nursing instructors for delivering exceptional, compassionate, and empathetic patient care and being a mentor for her fellow classmates. Crystal was offered and accepted a position at Springs Memorial Hospital (now known as MUSC-Lancaster) in the Emergency Department (ED) before graduating USC-L. Crystal remained in the ED for seven years, eventually becoming a charge nurse and was awarded employee of the quarter within 2 years of being a nurse. While working in the ED she attended Walden University and earned her master's in nursing in 2018 with a focus in family practice. Crystal is a member of the American Nurse Association (ANA), American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP), and the Emergency Nurse Association (ENA). Since becoming an FNP, she has worked in multiple specialties including family practice, pediatrics, acute care, and substance abuse. Crystal is deeply passionate about treating and helping others and enjoys advocating for her patients and her community. She is excited about her new position as a Nurse Practitioner with Carolina Urgent and Family Care and cannot wait to establish new relationships with patients, their families, and continue to advocate and provide effective care in her community. Crystal currently resides in Lancaster County with her fiancé Michael, her daughter Khia, and her stepson Brayden. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing in the mountains, fishing, and riding with her fiancé on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Elijah Mays
DNP, FNP-BC
Dr. Elijah Mays, Jr grew up in Colleton County, South Carolina. Growing up in rural South Carolina, he had no idea he would have a career in healthcare. After attending the University of South Carolina and graduating in 2000, he started working for a small HMO in Columbia, South Carolina. After leaving that position, he began working as a Unit Secretary in the Emergency Department at Providence Hospital in 2005. Later, he would receive on-the-job training to become a CNA in the step-down ICU. After much encouragement from his wife and several nurses in the ICU and step-down ICU, he decided to pursue a career in Nursing. The journey was not easy but he persevered. He earned his Associates Degree in Nursing in 2010 from Midlands Technical College, then his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2013 from Lander University and finally, his Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Nursing in 2020 from Medical University of South Carolina. He is excited to be working in Family Practice and looks forward to building meaningful, long-lasting partnerships and relationships with his patients. Dr. Mays has one publication, “Increasing Vitamin B12 Screening Among Patients with Type 2 Diabetes on Long Term Metformin Therapy”.
In his spare time, Dr. Mays enjoys reading, working in his yard, and spending time with his family.

Courtney Byrd
Billing Manager
Courtney has been with Carolina Urgent and Family Care since 2019 and has been a great addition to our team. She works at the front desk as well as the clinical department and always keeps a positive attitude. Courtney lives here in Lancaster and enjoys spending time with her family.

Nicole Cheeks
Front Desk Manager
Nicole has been with Carolina Urgent and Family Care since 2022 and is a valuable asset to the team. She is willing to go above and beyond to help in any way she can and we are happy she is here. She lives in the Buford Community and enjoys cooking out with her family and friends.

Cayce Johnson
Medical Office Assistant
Cayce is a team player here at Carolina Urgent and Family Care. She is a patient-focused, detail-oriented and computer-savvy medical receptionist. She lives in the Buford community and enjoys painting, fishing and spending time with her family.

Riley McLellan
Medical Office Assistant
Riley has worked with Carolina Urgent and Family Care for a few summers now and she is a pleasure to have around the office. She is a recent graduate of Lancaster High School and is currently pursuing an RN degree.

Laura Williams
Medical Receptionist - Retired
Laura started with Carolina Urgent and Family Care in 2007 and retired in 2022. For 15 years she served our community through Carolina Urgent and Family Care and she is missed by many.
We would not be where we are today without her and she will always remain a part of our family. She is enjoying retirement while living in Lancaster with her husband and enjoys trips with her family.
